1. Biological Sciences
Based on the statistics from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), over half of medical school applicants major in the biological sciences. Truly, among all the courses that are available, nothing is more similar to medicine than biology-oriented studies. You can surely take your pick from a diversity of science majors such as neuroscience, physiology, medical science, microbiology, zoology, and biotechnology, adds Victor Restis.
2. Physical Sciences
If you enter the physical sciences, you may see less of the parallels in medicine that you would otherwise enjoy with the biological sciences, but this is not to say that you’re too far off. The physical sciences offer you the training that is quite applicable to medical school curricula. If you complete the coursework in physics or chemistry, you will be able to fulfil many of your pre-med requirements.

3. Social Sciences
You might be surprised to know that about ten percent of those who get into medical schools come from a social sciences background, notes Victor Restis. However, since a significant portion of the subjects in this coursework aren’t directly related to medicine, you might need to be creative and use your electives by taking up certain classes that are needed to complete your pre-med requirements.
Truly, the most important thing in choosing your pre-med course is that you get to fully review the specifics of the course you wish to pursue so that you will know what adjustments you need to make.
